Meet Our Chairperson
S.R. Sinha ‘Kumud’
A Legacy of Education, A Future of Transformation
S.R. Sinha Kumud is the visionary founder and Chairperson of Aayam Parivartan (Registered under Article 64). With a career spanning over three decades, she has transitioned from shaping minds in the classroom to transforming lives across society. Her leadership is defined by a rare blend of academic depth, administrative experience, and a compassionate heart for the marginalized.
A Foundation of Excellence
A scholar with a deep-rooted understanding of social dynamics, Mrs. Kumud completed her Graduation in Political Science from Ara, Bihar, followed by a B.Ed. from Patna University. This academic background laid the groundwork for her lifelong pursuit of social justice and systemic reform.
32 Years of Dedicated Public Service
Before leading Aayam Parivartan, she served the Bihar Education Department with distinction for 32 years. As a Senior Government Teacher in Patna, she was more than an instructor; she was a mentor to thousands. Her tenure in the public school system allowed her to witness firsthand the grassroots challenges—poverty, gender inequality, and lack of resources—that hinder the progress of our nation’s children and women.
A New Chapter: The Move to Delhi
Driven by a “calling” that extended beyond retirement, Mrs. Kumud moved to Delhi to establish Aayam Parivartan. Her goal was clear: to take the lessons learned in the classroom and apply them to large-scale social advocacy. Today, she leads the organization with the same vigor and discipline that defined her three-decade-long teaching career.
The Four Pillars of Her Vision
Under her expert guidance, Aayam Parivartan operates on four fundamental pillars designed to create lasting social impact:
Women Empowerment: Championing financial independence and social equity for women through skill development and advocacy.
Welfare of Differently-Abled Children: Building a world where every child, regardless of physical or mental challenges, has the resources to live with dignity.
Safety & Security: Actively working to create a secure environment for women and children through legal awareness and community protection.
Moral Education: Reforming society by reintroducing value-based learning, ensuring that the next generation grows with both intellect and empathy.
From the Chairperson’s Desk
”True transformation begins when we empower the mind and protect the vulnerable. My mission is to ensure that every woman and child possesses the security, the opportunity, and the values they need to thrive in a modern world.”
